Elana Shorey is an artist from Framingham, Massachusetts. She received her BFA from Maine College of Art, and that is where her interest in painting clouds began. Elana primarily uses acrylic paint to examine cloud forms through an abstract lens, and focuses on themes like texture, weight, line, and dimension. Elana works in a very experimental style where the process almost becomes a dance and a piece of art in itself. Although the subject of clouds can be interpreted as many other organic forms to viewers, Elana uses the clouds as a jumping off point and language for the dream like way in which she sees the world.
